NCC cadets began marching in Republic Day parades in New Delhi, becoming a permanent fixture of the national celebration.
1988 – A/B/C Certificates
The three-tier certificate system (A, B, C) was strengthened, with C Certificate holders gaining defence service recruitment benefits.
2004 – GP Hisar Unit
The NCC unit at Government Polytechnic Hamirpur (HP) was formally established, beginning its journey of producing disciplined cadets in Haryana.
Today – Excellence Continues
Our unit today proudly trains over 250 cadets, winning state and national level honours year after year.
Our Purpose
The NCC works towards creating youth who are disciplined, capable, and committed to the nation's progress.
Foster qualities of leadership, integrity, and national consciousness that will serve the youth throughout their lives.
Promote fraternity and remove regional, religious, and linguistic barriers by bringing cadets from across India together.
Motivate youth to join the Armed Forces and provide basic military training that eases their transition into service.
Encourage cadets to serve society through environmental drives, disaster relief, and health & hygiene campaigns.
Ensure cadets maintain high levels of physical fitness through regular drills, sports, and adventure activities.
Instil values of secularism, social service and democratic citizenship aligned with the Indian constitution.
Our Commitment
"We, the cadets of the National Cadet Corps, do solemnly pledge that we shall always uphold the unity of India. We resolve to be worthy citizens of our great country and to live by the motto of the National Cadet Corps — Unity and Discipline. We shall serve our country and our people always, and in so doing give meaning to the Nation."
